Help?

Hey, i run the same board as you guys are using. but i dont speak german i do english, i saw some of your skins and was intressted in how to make a skin my self, im runing a design forum and it would be a kickass idea if you guys could point me in the right dirrections, some tools or how to make it from zero, to a full skin? and please let it be in english...

hm...you have a design forum and you don't know how to create a design? well this ios going to be a problem ....

first of all you need a more or lesse professional grafic-program like Photoshop, Fireworks and so on. The Gimp is ok too, but the point is, you should be able to get the program under your control.
Then create a design which looks more or less 1:1 you want it later on your site.
Now you have to slice it. Your grafic-program should support this function. Now you have several small images. It's important to know html. Now it's like coding a website which is based on templates. You have a header, a footer and indeet an index template. There are also further templates like the boardbit and so on which could be interesting for you.

Now you have your every image on its place, you just need to edit the designpack. The designpack is the central-control-panel for css.
